In urban slums, community-living is a significant aspect of bringing up children. Keeping this in mind, our learning centers are designed prioritizing convenience in terms of distance, flexibility of timing, language diversity and more.
Child-centric: Each child is evaluated through established diagnostic assessments, enabling the development of a tailored learning plan.
Community based: Centers are located within communities. Most children walk less than 500m to reach the center.
Contextualized learning materials: GWER either develops its own teaching and learning materials or adapts the existing learning materials as per NCERT curriculum to suit the socio-economic and linguistic background of the children.
Focus on holistic development of children with built-in life-skill education
Regular teacher training: the teachers are regularly trained on both subject specific content and pedagogical techniques.
Experiential learning: all efforts are made for children to learn by seeing and doing. Regular educational field are organized for children.
Small student groups: we ensure focus on each child, through small groups.
